(Full bio EN)
Deejay Madruga had his first contact with turntables in 1998 as a group of DJ RAP in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. In this group he started producing some beats using a Sampler Boss, but it was the VHS tapes of DMC which increased his interest and dedication in ‘turntablism’.
With experience in DJing to dancers, Madruga conquered its space and knowledge. Since then, he has been producing mixtapes spending much feeling and enthusiasm in working with what gives him motivation and inspiration.
Madruga’s tracklist includes RAP ( be it national , international or classic ) and also in line with Soul, RnB, Funk. He likes working with the two plates playing the same music, a technique that allows ‘play’ with delays, setbacks, bumps and scratches, making the boldest DJing. He is known for his live performances and disagrees with the idea that “a deejay just have to ‘hold’ music.” For him, “a good deejay uses his/her musical taste to create reinterpretations of songs during the dance. ”
He has shared the stage with renowned names from the National RAP as : DJ KL Jay ( Racionais Mc’s ) , DJ Primo ( Marcelo D2 ) , Sabotage , Kamau , EMICIDA , Tropkillaz , Da Guedes and also icons of world RAP as 9th Wonder , Phonte ( Little Brother ) , Murs , Like ( Pac Div ) and Del ( Hieroglyphics ).
Skateboarding has always been inspiration for his work. Being skater since childhood and admirer of the sport, he has always witnessed the events in southern Brazil . This contributed greatly to this DJ style into great presentations, sport championships and also in the more visible events as Qix Contest Malarrara PRO Teutonia International, Red Bull Manny Mania, Mother Skateboard Pro, among others . Today he is a part of the team Hocks Skate; local brand that has been investing in sport and its cultural aspects, which includes the entire context of Hip Hop.
In 2012 he devised the “Baile do Ramon” in his community and had attracted KL Jay, a dream he had since the beginning of his career. His other independent project Bahrulho, is a happyhour in prom format essence of the 90s – where dj’s, b -boys, mc’s and graffiti writers meet weekly to enjoy good music, dancing and so what is the hip hop culture. This project has been considered one of the strands of rap root in Porto Alegre, motivating professional and amateur of all ages.
He showcases dance, rap, black music and Happyhours in series of mixtapes – which can be found on his Mixcloud.

(BP)
